The beautiful Vale of Evesham is only 5 miles away. Famous for its orchards and horticulture, the region has some spectacular scenery. The historic town of Evesham, on the banks of Shakespeare's River Avon, is the "capital" of the Vale of Evesham, lying between the Malverns and Bredon Hill on one side and the Cotswolds on the other, in the Heart of England. Visit nearby Evesham Abbey with its historic connection to BEST WESTERN Salford Hall. The monks commissioned the original building in 1470.

Stroll round the Regency Spa of Cheltenham with its excellent shopping centre; or take a bracing walk along the granite spine of the Malvern Hils, offering magnificent views for scores of miles around; or explore the ancient castles at Warwick, Kenilworth and Sudeley.

Take a short trip to the quaint village of Winchcombe, once the capital of Anglo-Saxon England, or visit the neolithic burial ground of Belas Knap high in the cotswolds; or explore manor houses and famous gardens by the score.

A good base for trips into Stratford upon Avon, you can use the Bishopton Lane Park and Ride which is about 5 miles away, the return ticket costs £3 (November 2012).
